BRIDGE – Eindhoven Guitar Festival

We are happy to be a part of BRIDGE - Eindhoven Guitar Festival. From 10 to 15 May you might enjoy guitar music in many locations of Eindhoven, but we strongly enourage you to come to LAB-1 to listen amazing performers! Free entrance!

Program:

12 May:

19.30-21.15 - Dans Dans - It's spirited music. Psychedelic. Mind-blowing. Adventurous. Tasty. Uncatchable really. The three musicians of Dans Dans have earned their stripes with many renowned bands such as Flying Horsemen, Mark Lanegan, DAAU and Dez Mona. OOR calls Dans Dans "the most exciting band from Belgium.” Knowing that there is a lot of great stuff coming out of Belgium, you can conclude that the bar is therefore pretty high for their show at Bridge.

21.00 -  Crooked Steps - Surf, indie, garage, punk, pop, rock. Link Wray, Dick Dale, The Black Keys, Miles Kane, Mac Demarco, Allah-Las, Tarantino soundtracks. So much for the references. Now for the bare facts: Crooked Steps is one of Belgium's most exciting young bands. In 2020 they won the "Nieuwe Lichting" from Studio Brussels which is an incredibly valuable seal of approval. This trio makes deliciously quirky music that is upbeat and will make all your negative thoughts suddenly evaporate.

22.30 - Ghost Woman - Ghost Woman sprung from the mind of Canadian Evan Uschenko, who you may know from Michael Rault's band. Ghost Woman -named after George Carter's song Ghost Woman Blues- makes psychedelic, scratchy garage rock songs with some great hooks from time to time. Tame Impala, King Gizzard, War on Drugs, Khruangbin, Ty Segall and Kurt Vile are names that float to the surface as we soak in the hallucinatory sounds of this five-piece.

13 May:

19.30 - 20.15 Inge Lamboo - Inge Lamboo writes autobiographical songs. She taught herself to play guitar, piano, drums and bass. At the age of 15 she started to write her own songs. With 100k+ followers on TikTok, Inge entertains her followers with music content. Her work has been noticed by bands such as Wheatus and radio stations abroad. Besides that, she makes an impact on people who struggle with their mental health and who they love.

21.00 Robin Kester - Enchant, hypnotize, dream. Those are a few keywords that you often hear and read about Robin Kester's music. With guitar parts that feel like a soft mattress on which you can sink completely and a soothing voice that whispers your dreams. The fact that Robin makes something special has also become apparent across the border. Radio stations BBC Radio 6, KCRW and KEXP also picked up her EP This Is Not A Democracy. Portishead, Broadcast and Julia Holter are a few references that do justice to the beautiful dream pop of Robin and her band that can also make you dream away live.

22.30 Iguana Death Cult - Subdued and exhilarating. Nonchalant and peaky. Tough and sweet. Arrogant and likable. Danceable and um, danceable. Iguana Death Cult from Rotterdam puts you on the wrong and right foot at the same time. How should we actually place this incredibly delicious band? Well, it's deliciously filthy psychedelic garage rock, with schmutzy guitars that occasionally trip away nicely psychedelic, mud-fat bass and terribly catchy choruses.
