Evelyn (Michelle Yeoh) heeft samen met haar man Waymond (Ke Huy Quan) een onsuccesvolle wasserette, een rebellerende dochter en een belastingaangifte die maar niet lijkt te eindigen. Exact op het moment dat het allemaal te veel wordt, verscheurt het universum in een oneindig aantal universums en is Evelyn niet langer alleen een wasserettehouder, maar ook internationaal bekende filmster, kungfu-meester, chef-kok of misschien de held die iedereen al die tijd nodig had.

 

Directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, collectively known as Daniels, the film is a hilarious and big-hearted sci-fi action adventure about an exhausted Chinese American woman (Michelle Yeoh) who can't seem to finish her taxes.
