Melted Film Festival is an independent short film festival aimed at providing a broader platform for emerging talents, both from the local community and abroad, particularly targeting first-time filmmakers. This event is organized and hosted by alumni and students from the Design Academy Eindhoven, who noticed a growing interest in film as an art form within the school. The films vary in format, and style - from documentaries to dreamscapes, from essay films to animations.
The first evening brings us home. A return to tradition in some films, contrasts a re-imagined life for elderly or future generations in others. Going in search of the source, or fixing whatever we can by piecing things together - a selection of poetic pieces that look for return or for a new point of contact.
