"Maria" tells the story of legendary opera singer Maria Callas in an intimate portrait of her final days.

This captivating film explores the iconic diva’s struggles with haunting visions, her fragile mental state, the fear of losing her voice, and memories of her youth and loved ones. Supported by her servants, friends, and the beauty of her music, Callas roams the rooms of her apartment and the streets of 1970s Paris. Through her battles with the challenges of fame, love, and the pursuit of artistic perfection, the film unveils the vulnerable woman behind the icon.

Director Pablo Larraín, following "Jackie" and "Spencer", completes his trilogy of poignant biographical films about world-famous, tormented women.
