Parvis is a German gay boy of Iranian descent. The 20-year-old young adult leads a privileged life in a middle-class suburb. With his active nightlife and exciting Grindr dates, Parvis is always too busy. While he enjoys his childhood and doesn't want to know anything about his origin, his parents have the opposite mindset. They have worked their way up as immigrants but their hearts, despite being exiled, are still in Iran.
When Parvis has to carry out community service in an asylum seekers' center, he encounters refugee Iranians Amon and his sister Banafshe. However, the feelings that blossom between Parvis and Amon seem to endanger the relationship between the threesome. Enjoying the summer and daydreaming about their future, the grim realization arises that through inequality, homophobia and bureaucracy this future can slip through their fingers.
Partly autobiographical debut by director Faraz Shariat, with sparkling acting by the three leading players.
