A dark cinematic night where shadow and sound merge into pure horror poetry
A unique evening of sound and visual magic with Live Cinema: Wanderwelle performs Nosferatu (1922) on September 27th. During this special screening of the iconic horror classic Nosferatu: Eine Symphonie des Grauens (1922), the Amsterdam-based duo Wanderwelle will deliver a hypnotic live soundtrack that elevates the film’s eerie atmosphere to new heights.
Their raw mix of ominous soundscapes, jagged riffs, and disorienting melodies creates an intense confrontation with the haunting visuals of this film classic.
About the film
Nosferatu (1922) is a silent film classic by director F.W. Murnau and a loose adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Thomas Hutter travels to Transylvania to conduct business with the mysterious Count Orlok, but soon discovers his vampiric nature. The film is known for its expressionist style, ominous shadows, and the terrifying performance of Max Schreck as the pale, rat-like vampire. Nosferatu is not only a milestone in film history but also a timeless nightmare that never loses its grip on audiences.
