Le Mépris (Contempt) by Jean-Luc Godard follows Michel Piccoli as a screenwriter torn between the demands of a proud European auteur, played by the legendary Fritz Lang, a blunt and domineering American producer, portrayed by Jack Palance, and his disillusioned wife Camille, memorably played by Brigitte Bardot, while he struggles to rewrite a new adaptation of The Odyssey.
