19:00 - Corpse Bride (2005)
First we will take you to Tim Burton’s darkly whimsical world with Corpse Bride, a stop-motion animated masterpiece. Nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, this film combines gothic romance, stunning visuals, and Burton’s signature macabre charm. Its hauntingly beautiful score and imaginative animation make it a beloved cult classic that enchants viewers of all ages.
20:45 - Interview with the Vampire (1994)
Then we go to the 90's legend! Based on Anne Rice’s bestselling novel, Interview with the Vampire is a brooding and elegant tale of immortality and despair. Featuring award-winning performances by Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt, the film helped redefine vampire cinema for a modern audience. Its dark, atmospheric storytelling and exploration of morality, loneliness, and love have cemented it as a culturally influential classic.
23:15 - The Fly (1986)
We're finishing with deep frights: David Cronenberg’s The Fly is an iconic exploration of body horror and psychological terror. Starring Jeff Goldblum in a career-defining role, the film won the Academy Award for Best Makeup and is celebrated for its groundbreaking special effects and chilling transformation scenes. With its perfect blend of horror, science fiction, and tragic romance, The Fly remains a touchstone of the genre.
So put on your best costume, bring your bravest friends, and join us. Nothing captures the Halloween spirit quite like the big screen at LAB-1!
