In Venice, life takes place on the water. The muscular, tanned boys scratch the town's wooden bollards with their initials and the speed limits they've managed to squeeze out of their machines. Daniele is one of these guys, from the islet of Sant'Erasmo, on the edge of the Venetian Lagoon. It is only a stone's throw from the touristy old town, yet a completely different world.

Daniele is a young man who lives on the edges of the Venice Lagoon, he dreams a record breaking "barchino" (motorboat).  In the water city of Venice, teenagers like Daniele don't have fancy mopeds, but lightning-fast speedboats, 'barchini' – they are everything to them.

Atlantide is an Atmospheric, hyper-realistic film that moves from a dreamy beginning to an operatic final chord. It is a vestigial tale of male initiation, violent and it explores the dragging ghost city along on a psychedelic shipwreck.
