From a young boy searching for answers about life and death to one of India's most revered spiritual figures, Hanuman Ansh tells the remarkable journey of Neem Karoli Baba and his philosophy of love, service and devotion

Born as Lakshminarayan Sharma in a small village in present-day Uttar Pradesh, a young boy becomes fascinated by questions of spirituality, suffering, life and death. Following the loss of his mother, his search for God gradually develops into a much larger spiritual journey.

Leaving home, Lakshminarayan travels across North India. Along the way, he encounters saints, devotees and ordinary people, while mysterious events surrounding the young seeker begin to attract attention.

His journey ultimately leads to the spiritual identity by which he would become known around the world: Neem Karoli Baba, or Maharaj-ji. Rather than seeking fame or material wealth, his teachings emphasise devotion, feeding others, service to humanity and unconditional love.

Hanuman Ansh chronicles that transformation, from an inquisitive young seeker into a spiritual teacher whose influence would eventually extend far beyond India.
